Long Term Care

Protect yourself in case you develop a chronic illness or become disabled and can no longer care for yourself for an extended period of time.  A common misperception is that Medicare pays for long-term care but it does not.  Long-term care is used when someone requires assistance with normal activities of daily living (ADLS) for more than 100 days.

  • Common ADLs:

  • Bathing

  • Continence

  • Dressing

  • Eating

  • Toileting

  • Transferring to and from bed
